The Greatest Prize on Earth" “Space Champion"

A reality show that will send winners to space, ... Here are the details

New York, USA: A planned new reality program will seek to award the winner of its live competition "The Greatest Prize on Earth": a 10-day stay on the International Space Station.

The company producing the program, "Space Hero", said that the winning contestant in the program, which will also be called "Space Hero", meaning "Space Champion", may launch into space in 2023.
Space Hero is an opportunity for anyone of any background to become the world's first elected space explorer to participate in a mission to the International Space Station. According to the statement, the production company is now looking for a global brand and major distribution partners. A company spokesperson said by email on Friday that Space Hero plans to open the application process for the program in the first half of 2021 before it begins broadcasting in 2022.
And Space Hero's founding partner, Deborah Sass, has described the program’s $ 65 million prize, while a company spokesperson said that the group is currently in the "second phase of fundraising."
The company has not announced any details regarding the format of the program.
"Space Hero", headed by a former News Corp executive named Marty Pompadour, said it is working with the Texas start-up Axiom Space to coordinate the trip to space.
Axiom was founded in partnership with Michael Sofredini, who led NASA's International Space Station program from 2005 to 2015. The company plans to act as an intermediary for NASA for companies such as SpaceX, Boeing, and any private individuals interested in booking trips to space for tourism, leisure or other commercial purposes.
Axiom also said it can provide all the training needed to prepare personnel for a trip to the International Space Station.
NASA has made a major push in recent years to spark interest in commercial activity on the International Space Station, which is a multi-billion dollar orbital laboratory that has hosted astronaut crews and hundreds of scientific experiments over the past two decades.
Earlier this year, the head of the space agency, Jim Bridenstein, announced that actor Tom Cruise is working with NASA on plans to shoot a movie aboard the International Space Station, as Axiom will also train and coordinate the project.
