Two experts specializing in smartphone technology have revealed ways in which personal secrets can be kept in mobile phones if given to others.
Yevgeny Chertock, head of Recksoft (a software engineering services provider), explained that the main phone operating systems offer different ways to do this, and in Android a stranger can be allowed to enter under a "guest account", and such an account is in the "notifications" or "account settings" category.
Most personal information needs protection, sometimes even from family members, Chertok said.
The expert gave examples: "Among the images, there is probably something that should not be shown to strangers in any way. There are personal correspondence that may not be displayed at home or at work, and here there is a search record and work mail with confidential documents."
"There is also a possibility that a child will reach your device and don't forget that today's smartphone also has a payment method, so don't allow strangers to access your online bank account."
For Android Users
Android phone developers suggest solving this problem using a Guest Account, which is supposed to be on all phones starting with version 5.
When it's turned on, the user gets a completely "clean" phone, as if he had just left the store. This system is run through the Notification Curtain, or in account settings.
For Apple Users
Apple has another approach in this area, Arsini Stelsen, general manager of digital platforms of 'ENO' says, that iOS systems, primarily enhance the security of "entry."
He explains: "To do the job, you need to use complex password codes, consisting not only of numbers, but also letters, as well as opening binary authentication in your Apple account.
You should also turn off THE USB when the phone is locked, as this will reduce the likelihood of interference. On the locked screen, disable maximum features, including calls and wallet."
The expert also advises that you turn on the data erase function if you enter the wrong passcode. Along with data synchronization and replication, this option will help avoid blackmailing sensitive information that can be found on your phone."
