Harms of eating non-fat foods

Dietary fats are essential to give your body energy and to support cell growth. Fat is a source of energy, a source of essential fatty acids that our bodies cannot make by itself, it helps to absorb fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, E, and K and a way to insulate our bodies and protect organs.

Dr. Alexei Kovalkov, a Russian dietitian, has revealed why eating exclusively non-fat-free food products can harm the body.

According to him, such a diet causes the disorder of everything in the body, from the hormonal background to the functioning of the central nervous system.

"Fat-free foods taste bad," he said. So to improve their taste, producers add more sugar, starch, capacitors and other unhealthy substances to these substances. The fat content in these substances is very low, but that doesn't mean they contain a few calories and a few carbohydrates."

Why it is not recommended to eat large amounts of lean or low-fat dairy products, he explained.

"If a person is aiming to eat calcium, they should forget all the fat-free or low-fat dairy products, because the absorption of calcium requires fatty acids," he said. Therefore, the ideal fat content in these dairy products should be 4-7%."

He added, it is very important to monitor not only the amount of fat consumed, but the quality and quality of vegetable oils, nuts, avocados and fish, rather than chips, fast food and pastries.
