Oppo Reno4. How to activate smart spy protection to protect your privacy

Oppo is now one of the world's largest smartphone manufacturers, experiencing significant growth over the past two years due to its focus on European markets.

OPPO is heavily focused on incorporating privacy and security features into its Android-based ColorOS, but in the Reno4 series of phones, it has found that including new features in the software is not enough, so the phone has a new intelligent sensor.

In Reno4 phones, OPPO has built a new intelligent sensor called AI-Enhanced Smart Sensor, known as AON, based on the latest AI technology to protect users' privacy and improve the experience of using The OPPO Reno4 phones.

This smart sensor lets you activate the phone's Smart Spy Protection feature, where the sensor uses the front camera and facial recognition algorithms to detect if there is a stranger spying on your phone, if you receive a notification and the front camera detects someone else's face next to you looking at the phone screen, the notification content will be automatically hidden to protect your privacy.

This sensor also lets you activate Smart AirControl, which allows you to answer phone calls with hand gestures without touching the phone when your hands are wet or dirty, or to pass your finger to see content via social media apps with hand-only motion.

Here's how to activate the Oppo Reno4 Intelligent Spy Protection feature to protect your privacy:

Note: In order for Anti-Peeping to work on the Obo Reno4, you must first record your face until your phone's camera recognizes you as the phone owner.

  • Go to Settings on any Reno4 phone.
  • Click on the Notification & status bar option.
  • Click on the Manage notifications option.
  • Press the switch next to the Anti-peeping option, you'll be asked to enter the lock screen password, enter it.
  • You'll see the list of apps on your phone, select which apps you want their notifications don't appear on the lock screen when a stranger looks at the screen. Then tap the Turn on Anti-peeping option that appears at the bottom of the screen.

  • Note: Facial recognition can't work when using the front camera or in extremely low light conditions. In this case, the content of the notification will be hidden even if no one is peeping or spying on your phone.
