Twitter will start a program soon to receive users' complaints about "misinformation"

Twitter announced that it has begun testing birdwatch software dedicated to receiving complaints from Twitter users about the dissemination of misleading information through the site.

In a post, Twitter said on Monday: "Today we present Birdwatch... Intended to deal with questionable information. We need your help, and we urge those who can test it in the United States."

"You can add useful references to tweets that you think contain questionable information," the company added.

It was noted that Birdwatch was currently available only to users in the United States. Currently, user signals about misinformation will not appear directly on Twitter, but will be accessible on the program's page.

Users will be able to file complaints with a reference to why they are opposed to specific information posted on Twitter by Birdwatch.
