Voices are increasing in the Arab and Islamic world to boycott French products

Voices are increasing in the Arab and Islamic world to boycott French products, due to the tension caused by the issue of the cartoons offensive to the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH).

In numbers ... who loses in the boycott equation ... Macron or Erdogan ... and where are the Arabs

In light of the calls for boycott, what is the commercial importance of Arab and Islamic countries to France?

Data from ITC Trade, a United Nations project, showed that France's total exports to the countries of the world last year amounted to 555.1 billion dollars, more than half a trillion dollars.

We find that France’s exports to the eight Islamic countries (Turkey, Algeria, Morocco, Qatar, Tunisia, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt) last year it reached 35 billion dollars.

The boycott calls came after the issue of the Prophet Muhammad's( PBUH) cartoons resurfaced again after a young man of Chechen origins killed a history professor in France, by cutting off his head with a knife.

Multiple sources said the attack came after the teacher showed his students caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH).

In light of these developments, French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a speech in which he described the professor of history as the "face of the republic", pledging that France would not abandon the caricatures, while he described Islamists in France as separatists, directed to take new measures to prevent the spread of extremism among Muslims in the country.
