Chinese "Alibaba" makes 56 billion dollars record sales in twenty four hours

Alibaba said some 250,000 brands joined the fray this year, bringing 16 million discounted items through its e-commerce sites. The number of orders created at peak was 583,000 orders per second, backed by strong computing power to ensure smooth transactions. Alibaba announced, it offered 2 million items with discount for the first time, nearly double the number last year when the platform reported sales of $ 38.4 billion on the same day.

The day is the world's largest sales event this year for four days , and this Honor Day sales left behind the Black Friday sales in the United States.
