  There could be several reasons for you to create a QR code for yourself. In case you want to share a long website URL with your friend or you just want to share the WiFi network with others.  Whatever the reason, Android allows you to generate QR code for specific tasks with just a few clicks. 

 What is QR code:

   A QR code is a type of encrypted barcode that contains information.  The QR code reader automatically detects the information when scanned.  This method does not need you to use any third application, as this feature is available in the latest version of the Chrome browser for Android phones.  However, this feature remains hidden in the browser, and you need to make some adjustments to implement it. 


 Here are the steps to convert any URL link into a QR code in Chrome browser

 First of all, we must go to the Google Play Store in order to update the browser to its latest version.  You can do this through the link below for Android phones.

 Then, after updating the browser, launch it, and search directly for the next link that will enter us into the browser settings, which is Chrome: // flags.



On the page that appeared to us, which is the Flags page, search for the following command Sharing Hubin the search icon as it appears to us. Then two options will appear to us, activate them as follows.



We will once again search for another command, which is the QR Code, where the option to activate the QR code will appear, so we will at this moment activate this option.



In order to save the modifications that we made in the previous steps, it is necessary to restart your browser. For this, just click on the Relaunchoption as you appear.


Now go to the site or URL link you want to share and convert it into a QR code, click on the link, and then select the sharing option



You will now see the share screen, in which we will notice the appearance of the option to share as a QR code. Here, click on this option.



Once the QR code is generated , download it and send it to your friends via social networks or instant messaging apps.




Now ask your friend to use the Google lens app or the default camera app to scan the QR code. The QR code will automatically redirect you to the website that was sent to you.
