Learn to activate incognito mode in popular Android apps and web Browsers

 


Incognito Mode allows you - when browsing websites - not to save your browsing history on your device and your Google account, and this includes: the searches you perform, the sites you visited, and cookies. Meanwhile, you can also use the same feature in many of the Android apps that you use daily in your phone, allowing you to protect your privacy.

Safari web browser:

Safari is the best way to experience the internet on all your Apple devices. You can activate incognito mode by following the steps:

1- Launch Safari · 

2- Tap the Pages icon (two squares icon).

 3- Tap Private. private mode.



 A window that's using Private Browsing has a dark Smart Search field with white text.



Google Chrome web browser:

  Google Chrome is a cross-platform web browser developed by Google used for accessing web pages on the internet. You can safely browse web by activating incognito mode, here are the steps to activate:

1- Launch Google Chrome

2- Tap the Three bars( ≡) at top-right on your device.

3- Click “New Incognito Tab” from the menu.



 Google Maps application:

You can activate the incognito mode in the Google Maps app when you do not want to save your activity - such as the history of places you searched for or traveled to - in your Google account. To activate it, you can follow the following steps:

  • 1- Open the 'Google Maps' application on your phone.
  • 2- Click on your profile picture in the top right of the screen.
  • 3- Click on the option 'Turn on Incognito mode' in the menu that appears.

 YouTube app:

The experience of using the YouTube app in incognito mode is the same as using it without logging into your account. As nothing you do will affect your account activity, such as: your subscriptions or viewing history, and you will not see content recommendations provided by YouTube.

To activate the feature in the app, follow these steps:

  • 1- Click on your profile picture in the top right of the screen.
  • 2- In the menu that appears, click on the option 'Turn on Incognito mode'.


Note : The mode will stop automatically if you do not use the app for 90 minutes, and you will be returned to the last account you used. And a message will appear the next time you open the app to inform you to stop the mode.

 Swift Key keyboard application:

The keyboard application 'Swift Key' from Microsoft allows you to activate 'incognito browsing mode' that works across all messaging applications on your phone or tablet device, as it prevents the application from recording any words when you want to write something in private, to activate the feature, follow the following steps :

  • 1- Start creating a message in an app.
  • 2- Tap on the text entry field.
  • 3- Click on the three dots icon on the right side of the toolbar.
  • 4- From the options that appear to you, click on the 'incognito' option.

 Spotify app:

The Spotify application allows you to listen to songs personally, where you can activate the 'private session' option, which not only hides what you listen to, but also prevents the application from recommending related songs. To activate the feature, follow the following steps:

  • On the app's main screen, tap the gear icon in the top right-hand side.
  • Scroll down to the Social section, then switch the button next to the Private session option to play mode.

Now you can listen to songs anonymously for 6 hours, or until you turn the feature off again, and you can also make a specific playlist in the application 'private' Private, so that no one else can see it, and to do so, follow these steps:

  • 1- Open the playlist.
  • 2- Click the menu button - the three dots - on the top right of the screen.
  • 3- Click on the option 'make secret' Make Secret.
