The most important qualities of a foreign intelligence man



On 20th December, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service celebrates its 100th anniversary.

On this occasion, the agency posted a statement on its website outlining the most important qualities that the intelligence man must have.

According to the agency, the contemporary intelligence man is not like the heroes of espionage stories, and must be prepared to work in different harsh conditions.

Among the qualities that an intelligence man must have are loyalty to the motherland, and a high sense of duty. He must be persistent in his work and use the unusually creative approach.

Those who work in intelligence must have an excellent memory, an analytical mindset, be able to make the right decisions in difficult situations, be proactive in rational boundaries, and risk justifiably.

He must have the ability to concentrate for a long time and learn foreign languages quickly.

Other equally important qualities in the work of the intelligence component include the ability to deal with others and gain their trust. This element must also have the ability to organize itself, and to abide by principles, integrity and honesty in relationships with his leadership and with his co-workers.

The intelligence man must master the work in various professional and life areas and, when necessary, use the methods and techniques used by representatives of different disciplines - politicians, businessmen, scientists and others.

It must be widely informed in various fields - foreign policy, economics and various sciences. He must be fluent in several foreign languages.
