Saudi Arabia prepares to launch PingMe - Saudi WhatsApp alternative

In light of WhatsApp's recent problems with users due to sharing their data with Facebook, Saudi Arabia has taken a new step to launch Pingme as a secure WhatsApp alternative that preserves users' privacy.

The new app is designed by a group of Saudi programmers, who advertised it via Twitter through an official account called Pingme.

According to the new app:

"Out of our concern and out of the protection of the privacy of our kingdom, which is dear to our hearts and in keeping with the vision of His Highness The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It has been agreed to launch the first Saudi instant messaging app, share photos and videos, and more options will be launched in 1FEB."

The new app, which will be the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, with WhatsApp commercial technologies, and fast instant messaging support, will be officially launched to users on February 1st.

For the new app features, developers say Pingme has a range of features, including: "High security, END TO END encryption, complete privacy, and most importantly, it's a 100% Saudi app."
