Gigabyte announces Aero and Aorus computers

Following Invedia's announcement of the GeForce RTX 3000 series, Gigabyte announced additions to the Aorus and Aero lines that integrate new GPU units.

Gigabyte says it offers amazing game experiences with cyberpunk 2077 and other games.

Aorus laptops are traditional gaming laptops, while aero is targeting content makers.

The differences are largely external, with Aorus products generally offering higher-refreshed screens where Aero products choose more accurate color palettes.

Aero laptops have a sleek and quiet design, while Aorus laptops look like gaming laptops.

Aorus 17G is the leading computer in the Aorus line, comes 17.3 inches, is dedicated to players, and has a mechanical keyboard with exclusive Omron keys.

It also includes a 300 Hz refresher display, one of the fastest displays you can find on a gaming laptop.

There are also two new models Aorus 15G and Aorus 15P measuring 15.6 inches, both with an FHD display with an update rate of 240 Hz.

Aorus 15G is more focused on portability, says Gigabyte: it saves eight hours of battery life.

All three Aorus models can be configured using up to the Intel Core i7 H-series processor, Aorus 17G and Aorus 15G can reach the GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, while Aorus 15P reaches GeForce RTX 3070.

On the aero side are two new Aero 17 models, one with a 4K HDR display and the other with an FHD display.

Two new Aero 15 models, one with an AMOLED 4K HDR display and the other with an FHD display.

Gigabyte says the OLED configuration covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gradient, with HDMI 2.1, MiniDP, Thunderbolt 3 and UHS-II SD card reader.

Aero 17 HDR and Aero 15 OLED include up to GeForce RTX 3080 and Core i9.
