Samsung has announced its latest Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headset, which features an in-ear design similar to the Galaxy Buds Plus design, but aesthetically inspired by Galaxy Buds Live.
The headset sells for $200 and features the same metallic shape and similar cargo case.
According to Samsung, the modified design reduces the contact area between your ear and headphones, improving comfort and reducing any feeling of blockage.
The company also says that the speakers offer the best audio experience yet for any of the company's earbuds thanks to the 11mm low-frequency speaker and the 6.5mm high-frequency speaker.
The active noise cancellation feature has also been improved, as the earphones create a complete dam around your ear.
Samsung has also improved ambient sound mode, which now lets you amplify ambient noise by up to 20 decibels.
Galaxy Buds Pro speakers can detect when you start speaking, and can automatically switch to ambient sound mode while lowering the volume of music when you do.
Samsung explained that Galaxy Buds Pro offers the best microphone performance to date from the earbuds lineup, with three built-in microphones and a sound capture unit to increase clarity over phone and video calls.
The company said in a statement: One of the external microphones has a high rating of SNR signal-to-noise ratio, which also eliminates background noise.
In addition, Samsung has integrated the new Wind Shield technology into galaxy Buds Pro.
While the less prominent shape reduces the area of contact with the wind, the specially designed room with overlapping filters prevents wind interference.
Some features of The Galaxy Buds Pro seem to rival Apple's AirPods Pro, as you can enjoy real-life and immersive sound when watching videos on a Samsung phone or tablet using Dolby Track Heading, which is a response to Apple's spatial audio feature.
Galaxy Buds Pro expands your audio experience by connecting to other Galaxy devices, automatically moving between Samsung mobile devices.
You can expect up to five hours of continuous operation with ANC enabled (eight hours off) and an additional 13 hours of listening time through the charging case (20 hours with ANC cancellation).
The Galaxy Buds Pro has been rated waterproof according to IPX7, and the speakers are in three colors: black, silver and purple to match the new Galaxy S21 collection.
