Targus is geared most of its new products to fight the new CORONA virus while you work at home, where there are a large number of safer accessories for epidemic health, most notably the 2 Office antimicrobial backpack and UV-C LED disinfection light.
The UV-C UV-C disinfection light is designed to be placed on top of the keyboard, mouse or anything else you want to clean, so that it automatically eliminates 99.9 percent of viruses and bacteria by operating for five minutes every hour.
The disinfection light is sensitive to movement, using motion sensors to detect if you're using a computer, and waits until it's finished to start the cleaning cycle.
If you're not interested in UV light to clean the keyboard and mouse, Targus has also announced that it is working on a mouse and antimicrobial keyboard.
The 2Office antimicrobial backpack, which can carry laptops ranging in size from 15 to 17.3 inches, has antimicrobial coating across key points of contact.
If you're not looking for a new backpack, the company has also announced antimicrobial wallets for tablets, along with antimicrobial privacy screens for selected computer screens.
The company also announced the tablet Cradle Workstation installation base and the solid clipboard for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3.
The installation base uses Samsung's DeX software, which lets you connect your tablet to a screen for a desktop-like experience.
For iPad owners, Targus has also announced the EcoSmart portfolio, made from recycled materials.
Targus has announced the new antimicrobial privacy screens, which cost between $35 and $185, depending on their hardware, and are now available.
Both light and backpack are scheduled for spring 2021, along with the antimicrobial keyboard, mouse and secure SafePort's durable 7th and 8th-generation iPad bag.
